Nedstack’s 70 kW pilot unit at AkzoNobel’s chlor-alkali plant in Delfzijl has reached the important milestone of 40,000 operating hours. This achievement underlines the long-term reliability and durability of Nedstack’s PEM fuel cell technology in a demanding industrial environment.
Since entering operation in 2007, the pilot plant has generated more than 2,000 MWh of fuel cell power without the replacement of any main system components. Within this unit, Nedstack’s XXL stacks have been running for over 20,000 hours, demonstrating the robustness of the technology and confirming the strong performance of our PEM Power Plant concept in real-world industrial use.
