Fuel-cell stack supply, system engineering support, integration
The plant closes the loop between production and power use. Hydrogen that was formerly vented or flared is conditioned and routed to a PEM fuel-cell array, delivering on-site electricity with water as the only by-product. The installation integrates with Ynnovate’s utilities, process safety systems and energy management, stabilizing site demand while reducing emissions and grid reliance.
Built for industrial duty, the system combines multiple PEM modules into a 3.5 MW block, providing steady baseload power with rapid response to load variations. Gas treatment, detection and purge routines are integrated under plant safety standards; electrical output ties into the site’s medium-voltage distribution with coordinated protection and controls. The result is high availability, predictable OPEX tied to process-derived hydrogen, and a tangible reduction in the site’s carbon and noise footprint. By valorizing a continuous hydrogen stream, Ynnovate demonstrates a scalable template for megawatt-class PEM power in the chemicals sector and beyond.
From by-product to baseload: YNNovate turns process hydrogen into dependable megawatt-scale power
Operational logic & replication
The architecture is modular and repeatable: validated H₂ cleanup feeds a stable PEM baseline; the plant’s controls coordinate with site utilities for seamless operation; redundancy across modules supports maintenance without downtime. The Yinkou project provides a clear pathway to replicate multi-MW PEM power wherever continuous hydrogen streams are available improving energy efficiency and decarbonizing industrial loads.
